Located in the foothills of North Carolina, West Stokes High School is nestled between two beautiful Piedmont landmarks Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain State Parks. Built in 1999, Wildcat Country quickly established itself as a beacon in our rural community. Our student body of nearly 900 is encouraged to explore pathways to be engaged in their educational Journey. Recently our school transitioned to a one to one environment which is been embraced by our students and staff. Weekly Tech Tuesday meetings offer our staff dedicated time to learn, collaborate and explore avenues to guide instructional practices to meet student’s needs. West Stokes facilitates our professional learning teams through Google Classroom. Using this format to build teacher capacity has allowed for increased digital engagement that spills over into teaching practices. West Stokes thrives by welcoming students into a safe, supportive learning environment each and every day. Student experience drives our decision-making both in and out of the classroom. West Stokes High School, we motivate, we encourage, we challenge. We are one team. We are Wildcats.
